Steadicam Workshops
  • Gold Workshops
  • Silver Workshops
  • Bronze Workshops

About the workshop:

The Gold Workshop is a 5 1/2 day total immersion experience for students from raw beginners to experienced operator wishing to improve their techniques.

We use the larger rigs from the Archer2 up to the M-1 and while we base the first section of the workshop around the Tiffen Steadicam Short Course syllabus we then move on to more complex shot building and sophisticated techniques including the use of vehicles and other moving platforms.

This workshop is residential and full board and make use of all the time available for practical work during the day and lectures in the evening. Locations are chosen to provide an interesting backdrop for training and the only cost outside of the course fee will be extras such as beverages ordered at the bar. The accommodation is not optional.

We have a reputation of finding great operators as instructors so students have a fantastic opportunity to chat about real life experiences and draw experience from the best.

More details on the Gold syllabus can be found here.

The price of the workshop included the workshop itself, use of equipment AND full board accommodation in the onsite hotel.

The Steadicam Gold workshop is for all skill levels and the only requirement for students is simply that they have camera experience. You may benefit more to have had at least some experience of a Steadicam to gain the most from the training. This could be by attending a Bronze or Silver workshop prior to the Gold Workshop.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

About the workshop:

The Silver Workshop is a three day workshop designed to get beginners to Steadicam operating in the shortest possible time but often also attended by operators with some Steadicam experience.

We use the larger rigs from the Zephyr up to the M-1 and base the workshop around the Tiffen Steadicam Short Course syllabus. This covers all basic techniques and looks at blocking out shots, compositional aspects and timing.

The workshop is non-residential but a light working lunch is provided.

Further details of the workshop location and venue will be sent to you on confirmation of booking. Please do not book any travel arrangements until you have received written confirmation from us.
