The newest line of diffusion filters from Tiffen are natural, subtle, and versatile.
Subtle and versatile Soft Glow filters maintain contrast for a natural look while taking away the sharpness and sterility associated with a digital look. Blacks remain deep and whites stay clean. While helping maintain smooth skin tones, they also keep environments looking real and tangible. Soft Glow filters also allow surgically precise application of halation to highlights in the image. The expansive set lets the cinematographer sprinkle a hint of halation with lighter strengths while heavier strengths provide a more pronounced effect, allowing a progressive, gentle glow from light sources.
The Black Soft Glow filters offer the same benefits as the Soft Glows. The Black Soft Glow filters are especially useful in helping hold deep, dark areas of the frame without shifting colours.
The Golden Glow filters offer the same benefits as the Soft Glows with a slight warming effect especially to specular highlights. Filmmakers and photographers can add a subtle or distinct effect to halation and overall beautiful warming effect.
