138mm Neutral Density Filter - Water White

The Tiffen 138mm ND Filter is a solid ND filter with a 2x filter factor that provides a 1-stop exposure reduction. The density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. 

ND Filters do not affect colouration of the image and is ideal for use with other filters.

138mm filters are "Drop-In" and do not have threads. They require a compatible Matte box or holder to attach to the lens.

This filter is constructed from Water White glass and is made using our ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting to precision metal rings.
